I'm blowing this popsicle stand!
I'm done blogging here. I started off calling this blog Colossal One, then changed it to I Get Bored, but I still had the same URL for the old title. It feels stupid to me, so I started a new blog.

Classified Ads
My work has an intranet site for classified ads. You can post all kinds of crap up there. I was sent a link to an ad about a car this morning. The car was listed for $23K+. Of course the first thing I noticed was the background in the photo...

How are you going to list a super nice car for $23K with a photo of it parked in front of a trailer?! At least its a double wide...

Rad Parents!!!
This kid's parents made my morning. On my drive to work today he was standing on a corner holding a sign. The sign said "I lied to my parents!" He looked soooooo embarrassed! I hope he learned his lesson.
High five to you mom and dad!

What Punctuation Mark Are You?
You Are a Dash |
![]() Your life is fast paced and varied. You are realistic, down to earth, and very honest. You're often busy doing something interesting, and what you do changes quickly. You have many facets to your personality, and you connect them together well. You have a ton of interests. While some of them are a bit offbeat, they all tie together well. You friends rely on you to bring novelty and excitement to their lives. (And while you're the most interesting person they know, they can't help feeling like they don't know you well.) Work Time Antics!
Here is a little back story. I used to sit next to a guy named Kim. At first I found Kim to be a little goofy. After all... it's not everyday that you sit next to someone who has a toy dairy farm on his desk. Kim has a VERY deep voice and has an interesting way of structuring his sentences. Kim is one of the few people that I know that truly enjoys the art of the English language. As the days, weeks, and months went by I slowly learned the greatness that is Kim. He has a child like charm that will win over the toughest critic.
Kim is one of the few people in this office that is not a stick in the mud. He knows how to have a good time at work while still maintaining high productivity. When they moved me across the office, we still found ways to simultaneously entertain ourselves, annoy our supervisor, and distract our neighbors. Some on our methods of entertainment were: Super bouncy balls, nerf football, noise making flying stuffed animals, and Kim's favorite, drive by tinfoil balling (he throws them at my face while walking by). I've been collecting said tinfoil balls so I can return the fire all at once.
So that's the story. Now why did I tell you this you ask? Well we had a quick email conversation today brought tears to my eyes from laughter. Enjoy.

Just trying to be a help not a burden.
I must say, I do enjoy working with you. It is so pleasant to find
someone who does their job as well as you do without taking things
so seriously that they are stuffy or ridged. If I was a gal- I would
be looking at you for husband material:).

Thanks Kim.... I think. You know... You may have just made things a little awkward between us. I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to look you in the eye again.

Random photos of semi-cool stuff
Mike and I recorded a demo a couple of weekends ago. I'll have some mp3's to post soon.

Anja likes to put things that don't belong in the refrigerator into the refrigerator.

I went to Mt. Hood with Patricia and her daughter Molly. This is me almost flying over the edge with Molly and almost killing her. I had to dig my toes as hard as I could into the snow to slow us down. In this photo we just about reached the "safety" cargo net before the 4 foot drop off on the other side.

Patricia took a photo of Mt. Hood via my iPhone.

Next Top Model Auditions @ the Jansen Beach Mall. This is one of the crappist "malls" I've ever been in, but you can try to make yourself famous there I guess. Damn skinny girls need to eat a cheese burger or two!

What this sign is trying to say is "We hungry! Go shove your cheese burger up your ass!"

I drove Anja to the hospital to have a procedure done on her back. After it we went to the pharmacy to pick up some of her meds. While waiting there we saw this young couple. The lady just fell out. I guess she's 13 weeks pregnant and was having some problems. They called out a medical emergency over the loud speaker a bunch of doctors/nurses swooped in on this lady. I know it was a little fucked up of me to snap a photo of this all going down, but I felt the urge to share with you. Please don't hate me.

Life status update
So, as I last posted I have a lot going on. About a month ago I told Anja I wanted a divorce. This was one of the hardest things I've ever done. It's not like I hate Anja or she did something to hurt me, I just haven't been happy. It hurt to see her so upset. In fact I dreaded coming home, because I would see her in pain. So here we are. Not in the best of situations. Just bought a house, have a bit of combined debt, and all the emotion that comes with a break up.
The good news is that things are going pretty well. Anja seams to be doing pretty well. We've been hanging out with our respective friends. She has big plans that include a new job, and moving about an hour south of Portland. It makes me happy to see Anja happy again. She's almost back to the old Anja. The Anja that stole my heart over 7 years ago. I know things aren't going to work. We're not going to get back together, but it's nice to see her smile again. Nice to see the twinkle in her eye. She deserves to be happy as do I.
I think we both just got comfortable and stuck in our routines. We grew up together. I've spent my entire adult life with her. Things Change... People Change... We've Changed. I think this is the best thing for myself and for us. I hope Anja will one day see it as such too.

Not the time nor the place
I have a lot going on right now, and I haven't had much to blog about. Life is taking some drastic changes. I'm making these changes. Changes that are making others hurt now, but hopefully will bring about happiness later. I really would like to go into more details, but I'm not one to air dirty laundry, and I don't want to cause more pain then necessary.
I'm grateful to my friends that have been so supportive of Anja and I. Its nice to know I/we have people we can lean on from time to time. I've always been one to fight my battles on my own, and this one is no different, but when I have reached out recently... You've all been there with open arms.
Thanks.
